Your people
- Full legal name and contact details.
- Executor and backup executor.
- Beneficiaries and backup beneficiaries.
- Guardianship wishes for children, if relevant.
Your estate
- Home, land, vehicles, bank accounts, investments, KiwiSaver, insurance, and personal items.
- Debts, mortgages, loans, and regular obligations.
- Digital accounts or important records your executor may need to find.
Your gifts
- Specific gifts to people or charities.
- Who receives the rest of the estate.
- What happens if a beneficiary dies before you.
Your signing plan
- Print the final document.
- Arrange at least two witnesses together with you.
- Avoid using witnesses who receive gifts under the will or are partners of beneficiaries.
